Meet Our Team

Kenneth J. Quick
CEO & Tax Specialist
Those that know me know I am an energetic and very organized individual who thrives on human contact. Interacting with others is a high priority for me. I love to be a “Part of the Solution”, and receiving my tax preparer accreditation in 1995 was the first step of this lifelong journey.
I prepared my first tax return professionally in 1996 for the 1995 tax year, married Lisa in October of 1997, and our daughter TaylorAnn was born in May of 1999.
After taking some time off professionally and only working tax season to enjoy every moment of her first year, I returned to full time year-round preparing taxes in 2001 and I have not looked back since. I truly enjoy it, and the client contact just as much now, (if not more) than I did then. The reward of helping clients in what some find to be a daunting area of their lives is truly my driving force.
In 2013, I branched out and partnered with Bernstein Financial Services, Inc. in an effort to manage and maintain my own practice, while having a larger company association which allowed me to be full service to my clients. My association with Bernstein continues to remain a strong foundation of the San Diego practice, allowing me to serve clients worldwide, and meet physically when necessary, in both the San Diego, and Van Nuys, CA locations.
Outside of work, I enjoy event planning, cherishing time with friends and family, decorating and volunteering.

TaylorAnn Quick
VP / Team Manager
Born in 1999, I have always liked numbers and knew I wanted to do something in the financial industry. After exploring the options, I had readily available to me through my family and friends it solidified what I knew for a long time that I wanted to work in the tax environment.
Although I originally wanted to do support pieces and stay behind the screen I soon decided that long term I wanted to be a tax preparer. In 2023 I graduated with a degree in accounting and in 2024 I became a registered tax preparer. Although I am not personally ready to file a big number of tax returns I am ready to jump in and start small.
In my free time I enjoy going to theme parks and traveling the world with my family, shopping with my friends, and laying on the couch with my cats crying over Hallmark movies.

Lisa Quick
Team Member
I was born in 1963 and raised in La Mesa CA where I continue to live with my husband and daughter. I graduated from Helix High School in 1982, married Kenneth in 1997, and our daughter TaylorAnn was born in 1999.
I began working for Union Bank in 1984 and retired from that same bank 34 years later in 2018. During my time there I worked as a clerk, bank teller, new accounts specialist, and bank officer. I wore many hats in each and every one of those positions, and I pack a diversified skill set because of it. Building friendships with not only my team members, but many long-time clients as well.
In my free time, I enjoy shopping, volunteering, spending time at SeaWorld, playing bingo with friends, and am a cat lover (yes, Kenneth married the crazy cat lady).
I have been part of the My Tax Advisers Team since its conception as Kenneth’s wife, but I took a more hands-on role in 2019, after I retired from the bank. You might hear me answer the phones, meet me in the lobby, or get an email from me, as I am here to help in any way I can.

Michael Bernstein, MBA
Enrolled Tax Preparer
I began my career managing a production department at a large Paper company, and eventually was assigned to the position of financial analyst for a division of the company. Then, in 1987, I started my emphasis in Tax Accounting.
I am a principal in the tax consulting and accounting firm of Bernstein Financial Services, Inc, established in 1987. The firm prepares approximately 2,000 individual tax returns and over 250 business returns (LLC’s, corporations, fiduciary returns, and estate tax returns). The firm also provides bookkeeping services for over 50 companies, producing monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly financial statements for these businesses. Consulting services include business sales and purchases, practical financial planning, Insurance planning, estate planning, and retirement planning.

• MBA Master of Business Admin from UC Irvine, emphasis in accounting 1984.
• Enrolled Agent (Enrolled to Practice before the IRS – 1987)
